   That's unnecessary and it deploys the UPS battery very fast when the   
   monitor is on. The standby current drawn by a printer when not used   
   is miniscule.   
      
   Only the computer I'm sitting at is powered from the UPS.   
      
   I don't need the monitor to shut it completely off, just a candle so   
   I can see the keys and the "How to do it list" ahead of me.   
      
   And I need to do that only if the black-out is so long that the UPS   
   alarm comes on signalling that the battery is about to be exhausted.
