I would think if the printer ain't physically connected to a computer
it w/couldn't show up in the Printers and Fax page.

I tried printing a page over my network once many years ago, iirc it
took a long time to print out the page than if I had copied the file to
a floppy and put it in the computer that had the printer connected to
   it and print it out.

I have File Sharing unchecked on my Vista pc because I don't want it to
be able to do that with the printer on the xp box.

Can't remember right now if XP can do file sharing or not.

MS-DOS 5.0 and IBM PC-DOS seemed easier to work with Windows 3.1 than
what I have now to work with.
