EV>I read Your message in Memories, and answered it in this .REP along

EV>Joe Mackey seems to tolerate me being in the echo.

Joe is fairly easy going, but I know he'd lower the boom if he needed
to. Besides, he admitted that "he uses me as 'comedy relief'".

EV>... 2400 bps used to seem so fast...

Isn't that the truth??!! And, if you had a 9600 or 14.4k modem, when
everything else had 2400, you thought you were SPECIAL.

The last time I checked the Dial-Up and Telnet BBS List, done by Dave
Perussel, there were less than 50 dial-up BBS's left...and even the
number of telnet/web BBS's is shrinking...just as the various network
   nodelists are.
