   Howdy! Paul,   
      
   Last October I put a 1TB Internal HDD in a Acer Vista Notebook and   
   all worked except when I tried to get Windows Updates I would get   
   a window saying it couldn't find Windows Update Service.   
      
   This week I did some lurking on the internet with the results of a   
   Search I made and learned the HDD was a Advanced Format Drive.   
      
   For several days I piddled around trying to get WU to work and finally   
   did but I can't figure out which program I installed did the trick   
   because I didn't reboot after running each of the programs.   
      
   The last time I Rebooted I found that WU didn't have the Red emblem   
   anymore, it had a Yellow emblem with a list of updates waiting to be   
   taken from MS.
