   Howdy! Ben,

    BR> :)

I'm thinking of talking it over with them, thanks.

EV> I'm a little puzzled about Your last line:
EV> "(matches IP to MAC address)" .
EV> I know the computers I have each have a MAC address, but iirc the MAC
EV> address doesn't look anything like a IP Address.

BR> It simply means when DHCP assigns that MAC an IP it's matched
BR> to whatever you reserve for it, or "Static" per se. i.e. MAC
    BR> A:B:C:D set to 192.168.1.nnn

My MAC has 6 groups and one of them is over 255, I don't think the XP
box would like one of the numbers in the IP Address being 256 or over?
   -snip-
EV> I can't remember the name right now, but remember reading about that
EV> in a Kim Komando newsletter some time ago.

    BR> Sounds like a Proxy server or something {shrug}

I looked it up, it is called OPENDNS.
I'd still think BELL TEL wouldn't like my changing the DNS settings.???

I do apprciate all the help everyone is giving me.

Last night before I switched from the Limited Users Account to a Admin
Account, I unplugged the CAT-5 wire from the back of the XP box, and
while in the Admin Account I plugged it back in and saw a strange mix
of numbers in the IP Address.

After playing with it a while, I right-clicked the LAN icon on the
Network Connection page in CP and Disabled the LAN, and then Enabled
the LAN a short time later, and lo and behold it gave me a x.x.x.100 IP
Address in the Status window. It sure made me happy seeing that dot 100
and now Wallwatcher and Getlog are working as they should.

The next time I see the IP Address change to something other than .100
I will try doing that again in a Admin Account to see if I found the
   way to keep ME happy!

EV> I don't know what "Guardien Fide" means, is it "Be Careful"?

BR> It loosely translates to "Keeper of the Faith"
   Thanks Ben.

And Thanks to ALL of You who wrote to me about this subject!!!!!
