Hi Holger,              On 2014-12-06 09:42:00, you wrote to me:               WV>> Maybe it's time to abolish this area, or merge it with the Windows        WV>> area. It seems a bit exorbitant to have more than 1 Windows area.        WV>> And a specialized area for such an old version... Well... ;)               HG> It has already been tried and failed.              You can't really abolish any echo area from fidonet. There will always remain       links that (not so active) sysops forget to remove.       The best thing you could accomplish is to have it removed from the echolist       and the backbone. That would cut of some people, but with all the (fidoweb)       links these day, there would probably be some traffic... But if everyone       posting here lately would agree to move to the WINDOWS area (or some other       general chat area), it would be virtually dead. But I don't think you get a       consensus on this. ;)               HG> I can congratulate you to that number but also remind you that up in        HG> northern scandiavia they don't see any sunlight for several months.               HG> Next time the sun rises above the horizon there will be in march.              I'm aware of that...               WV>> But what does this have to do with Win95? ;)               HG> Actually nothing but to keep the echo alive any messages are welcome!              You succeeded! ;)              Bye, Wilfred.              --- FMail-W32-1.69.1.95-B20140716        * Origin: FMail development HQ (2:280/464)    |
