In a message dated 10-27-14, Daryl Stout said to Holger Granholm:              GM Daryl,              HG>The coming night we'll go back to standard time              DS> I saw where portions of Europe made the time change this past       DS> weekend. Much of the U.S. returns to Standard Time this coming       DS> Sunday.              I'm not 100% sure but I think all EU countries did change. What makes me       uncertain is that there may be one or two that didn't.              DS> Too bad that they can't decide on one time, and leave it there. At              Still better, go back to the prewar tiome when there wasn't any change       of time.              DS> least most of the OS's now (Windows XP, Service Pack 3 and up) will       DS> change the time automatically. Of course, if the U.S. decides to       DS> change the dates, or the law on that, that means a security update!!              So I thought the modern TV sets would do but no. There's a choice of       Auto or Manual but the AUTO setting still insists that our time is 3 hrs       ahead of UTC (GMT as it's named in the menu). That was true during DST       but now with standard time we are 2 hrs ahead.              CU L8ER, Sam, OH0NC              aka Holger              ___        * MR/2 2.30 * OS/2 is 30 years old; dead but still walking!                     --- PCBoard (R) v15.22 (OS/2) 2        * Origin: Coming to you from the Sunny Aland Islands.
