     D-Rats is a companion to D-Star...which is affectionately known as   
   "Echolink on Steroids".  Both are available for Windows, Mac, and   
   Linux OS's, from http://www.dstarinfo.com -- and there's a lot of other   
   information there, including a whole slew of nets during the week.   
      
     I use it more than I do Echolink...although I'm considering saving up   
   for a Kenwood TM-V71A, to set up an Echolink simplex node.
