Maybe you get an edited version. (Lucky you!) Both days were live telecasts
of at least five hours each day, with one or two extra hours prior to the
   actual racing.

Well, the best man won! The bloke who should have won at Bathurst. Luckily he
had enough go-go juice this time. :)

Ah, we don't have that nonsense here. There are certain factions, amongst the
refugees who have moved north from our southern states no doubt, that are
pushing for our state to go with DST.

A recent TV/newspaper poll showed up major differences of opinion of
populations close to our southern border, compared with people to the north on
my locale. We've already knocked it back in a previous referendum (15-20
years ago?) and I don't think the notion would survive in the next one.

OTOH, if the politicians present some region-based 'ticket' then there could
be a split of populations, using different time zones. It's do-able but an
   ugly idea nevertheless.

Of course, the whole idea of DST runs at odds with our environment. We have
the highest incidence of skin cancers in the world's population. And, the
idiots want to increase exposure time for the people.

Stupidity: the second most common element in the universe. ;-)

   Cheers,
   Paul.
