   Yes, you are partly correct. I looked at an external keyboard I made for   
   my ZX-81 computer. On that I have labeled the combined letter keys with   
   the bar over them as is shown in the ARRL handbooks.   
      
   Partly because we were taught the other way at the CW courses here.   
   Whichever is correct with me.
