   IIRC, I remember seeing very large 8-Bit(?) Memory Cards loaded with   
   I.C.'s being advertised in magazines back before I started using my   
   486DX33 Personal Computer.   
      
   When mine was built I was surprised that the Motherboard only filled   
   up half of the width of where it was mounted, everything else I had   
   was always perfectly square and my motherboard was a rectangle.
