   No Windows 9 - despite what we've read up until now. Yesterday, MS announced   
   that   
   the next version will be called Windows 10. There are a lot of snickers about   
   that - about how perhaps MS is thinking either:   
   -- people will think it must be two generations more advanced than    
   Windows 8 OR   
   -- people will confuse it with Apple's OS X (pronounced OS Ten, not OS    
   'X') - which will be releasing its own ver 10 some time this Fall.   
      
   One of the US TV news networks tweated that Microsoft has gotten the jump on   
   Apple by releasing iOS 10.
