   Howdy! Roger,

In the 1950's someone promoted changing the Time Zone for Louisville,
Kentucky from Central Time to Eastern Time saying it would help the
business people who had to fly to the New York, New York area and come
   back the same day.

I remember the Drive-In Movie Theaters making an announcement during
intermission time for everyone opposed to the change to come to the
Refreshment Counter and sign a petition against changing the Time Zone
because it would cause a one hour delay before they could show the
   first movie of the night.

I was still a Teen and couldn't sign the petition but I saw it when I
went to buy some pop corn and soft drink and there were many names
   on it already.

The Time Zone was changed to Eastern anyway, but at least they tried.

... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.
