In a message dated 09-05-14, Ed Vance said to Holger Granholm:              GM Ed,              EV> I was thinking Their Backup Software might have been slightly       EV> different for Their SCSI devices than it is on the Software They       EV> have for Their EPP Parallel Port devices, ...........              Just rest assured that the backup program is the same irrespective of       the way the drive is connected.              EV> The SCSI Host Adapter I'm using is from Advansys.       EV> I can change its Settings when I turn the PC ON.       EV> -snip-              I would change the drive number from 0 to some between 2 and 6.              EV> HP put a 0 Byte CONFIG.SYS file in the Root but I don't have a       EV> aspidisk.sys file anywhere.       EV> -snip-              If you have a DOS box there probably will be another config.sys file for       that operating environment. NOTE: I know nothing about a DOS box since       one isn't needed for OS/2 that does have a built-in DOS mode.              Maybe Advansys does have a .sys file that does the same job as Adaptec's       aspidisk.sys. In any case, an aspidisk.sys file must be available from       someone closer than the Aland Islands. The file is 13 kb uncompressed.              EV> I'd think whatever is given BOOT Priority in the pc BIOS would       EV> happen first, i.e. Floppy, CD/DVD-ROM and then C:\ .              That is correct as long as you don't have a disk in the SyQuest drive       being numbered 0.              73 de Sam, OH0NC              aka Holger              ---        þ MR/2 2.30 þ Problem with troubleshooting is that trouble shoots back.               * Origin: Coming to you from the Sunny Aland Islands.
