Howdy! Mark,              PORT sounds right, Thanks.              For someone who Works in the Computer Field, I feel lucky seeing You       answer my questions about this here Technical Stuff. Thanks Again.              Here is what I see when the FTP transfer BURPS during the run of the       .BAT File I use:              ftp> binary       200 All files sent in BINARY mode.       ftp> put capcity2.rep       500 Syntax error: 'ORT ##.###.###.###.10.185'       150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for file transfer.              Then I press Ctrl-C two times and see this on the screen:              Aborting any active data connections... <-[these two lines may be]       Aborting any active data connections... <-[happening b4 I press the]       Connection closed by remote host. [Ctrl-C's, Can't recall.]       ftp get capcity2.qwk xxxxxxxx.qwk       Not connected.       ftp> quit       Terminate batch job Y/N)?              Here I type Y Enter and get a CMD Prompt and try using the BATCH again.              After ORT it is Periods between the # signs above, not Commas.              I'm thinking of adding Redirection to the .BAT I use, to have a File       made so I could see if there is any Low ASCII or High ASCII characters       being sent by the AT&T DSL Server, a.k.a. '##.###.###.###.10.185'       that I can see by using LIST.COM to look at the file in Hex Mode.              The people here probably figure that I ought to have gotten used to       being whipped by this XP MCE SP3 box, but I haven't given up yet.              Until my pre-dementia changes into the real Dementia I will fight this       thing to the last electron.              Pre-Dementia is a word I made up, in case anyone is wondering what       Medical Issue I am having.              It's not Medical it's just Ed's Head thinking that I am funny.              ... Whenever I get a grip on reality, the handle falls off.       --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.49       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
