   It was the Software NOT the Drivers on the Floppy Disks for SyQuest   
   SCSI devices.   
      
   I was thinking Their Backup Software might have been slightly different   
   for Their SCSI devices than it is on the Software They have for Their   
   EPP Parallel Port devices, and just don't want to take a chance of   
   messing something up by my installing (and using) what came with the   
   device designed for EPP that I used to make the Backups.   
      
   I didn't want to chance using what I had in DOSBOX on XP.   
      
   I thought I had the .ZIP files for SyQuest's SCSI devices now that I   
   got from Archive.org Saturday, so I could install that software in   
   a DOSBOX, but I just looked at what I downloaded and saw that their   
   Wayback Machine on Archive.org hadn't archived those pages yet.

   The SCSI Host Adapter I'm using is from Advansys.   
   I can change its Settings when I turn the PC ON.

   HP put a 0 Byte CONFIG.SYS file in the Root but I don't have a

   It might be able to BOOT from it, I'm not sure as the SCSI settings are   
   shown after POST finishes.   
   I'd think whatever is given BOOT Priority in the pc BIOS would happen   
   first, i.e. Floppy, CD/DVD-ROM and then C:\ .   
      
   IIRC that is how I have the BIOS set up
