|    Safe Mode with Networking    |
|    03 Sep 14 11:26:00    |
Today I was using Safe Mode with Networking in XP SP3 .              I have two Administrative Accounts.              Both of them show the Desktop with a BLACK Background.       I tried changing it to another setting in Properties but even with my       clicking on the Accept button and the OK button it didn't change, and       when I looked at Properties again the old setting was still shown.              Another question about Safe Mode.              I tried opening Firefox but it didn't appear on the monitor, so I tried       again.       A little later I thought to press Ctrl Alt Delete and noticed that       Taskmanager had two instances of firefox running but I never saw either       of them appear on the screen.              I also tried Internet Explorer twice and it didn't appear either time       but Taskmanager showed both processes running.              I went to a CMD Prompt and tried using PING and TRACERT on two websites       and they worked as they should.              Lots of head scratching going on here about Safe Mode with Networking.              Anyone have comments for me besides telling me to take it to a computer       shop?              ... Have you checked your smoke detector batteries, LATELY?!       --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.49       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
