|    Hibernating XP Burps!    |
|    14 Aug 14 00:44:00    |
I have been using the Hibernate option when I turn my XP computer OFF.              When I turn the XP box ON the next time the Monitor shows me the POST       information, the Time Line on the bottom of the screen shows it is       reading the Data it stored on the HDD and then it will show the Log On       Screen so I can sign on and use the computer.              Just before I see the Log On screen I sometimes see the Hibernating       Screen that I saw when I selected Hibernate on the previous Shut Down.              Several times recently when I have Turned the XP computer ON again,       I see the Monitor shows me the POST information and the Time Line on       the bottom of the screen and then it goes Dark and Stays Dark and never       shows the Log On screen.              I've tried clicking the Cursor Arrow keys, Shift Key, Insert Key,       Page Up, Page Down, Home, End Keys and even tried ALT F4 but nothing       shows up on the monitor screen.              I haven't pressed the Enter Key because I have no idea if there may be       some Code that it would cause to Run.              I have allowed the Dark Screen to remain showing for twenty minutes       just thinking the computer will get its act in order and let me Log On       and use the thing, but I've learned when the screen goes Dark after the       Time Line scrolls from Left to Right to press the Power Button and Hold       it in for a few seconds to Turn it OFF and them press the button to       tart it up again.              I see a message about a problem with restarting the computer and have       tried to let it restart from the Saved Data but I see the same Dark       Screen again.       So I select the other option to delete the Restoration Data and BOOT       normally.              I can still use Windows Updates to get Windows Defender and MSRT when       Woody at askwoody.com says to update this XP box.              Anyone have any ideas why my XP SP3 Media Center Edition pc is doing       this? Thanks.              ...
