In a message dated 08-11-14, Paul Quinn said to Holger Granholm:

   Good evening Paul,

HG> Instead I removed the Nakamichi 5-disk changer from the old BBS
   PQ> [ ...trim...]

PQ> I applaud your adventures. I just like them to work these days.

That's same here and the reason everything happens so slowly .

PQ> The most I might do is move HDDs around; the last occasion was about
PQ> 18 months ago, from my eldest daughter's dead HP to my new Dell.

I was about to install a larger HD into my Lenovo T23 but then the
serial chip died so now that machine doesn't need a larger HD ;o)

Instead I bought another second-hand Lenovo with a 160Gb HD. Now that
one is awaiting new orders like OS/2 and XP installations.

As Ed uses to say, when I come ROUNDTOIT.

PQ> We haven't really had a proper winter. Oh, there were a few nights
PQ> when I slipped a folded light blanket over my knees while watching
PQ> TV. For the most part, I've been wearing board shorts & t-shirts,
PQ> with a light polyester vest or a light jogging top, oh, plus my ugg
   PQ> boots 'after dark'.

I'm usually looking forward to a real white winter but I'm afraid the
next one isn't going to be that. The sea water around here is warmer
than it has been in at least 40 years so that will keep the white stuff
off our hats. They say it's even warmer than the Mediterranean Sea.

HG> When I see a race the logo shows the name of the race, the last one
HG> was the "Ipswich 400". I know where Ipswich in England is but didn't
   ------ cut --------

PQ> Don't be afraid to ask. I'd certainly like to help. Ipswich is
PQ> close to my old town of origin (birth), Brisbane. It was a sort of
PQ> a go-between place, on the highway to somewhere else. These days
   PQ> it's a major metropolis.

The first race I saw this season was "Tyrepower Tasmania 400". Of course
I know where Tasmania is but didn't know there was a race track there.

    HG> Have a nice winter.

PQ> Thanks for the thought but we're experiencing a kind of pre-Spring
PQ> here. I've been calling it Spring since 28 July, in fact. There's
PQ> a bit of 'liquid sunshine' about at present but we'll have beautiful
PQ> weather from now till the end of October. Then, it justs gets
   PQ> better. :)

Well, we are expecting the clear sunshine of this morning to turn to
liquid sunshine in the afternoon. Rain is really needed here but we use
to arrange it so it comes at night when the tourists are asleep but
something isn't going to plan now, .

   CU AGN,

   Holger
