   This reminds me of an experience I had whiel workign at the Local VA   
   Medical  cenbter inteh Engineerring Department.   
   The Anesthesologist was working on a Voice recognication system for   
   recording drug administrations during surgery.   
   Becaue of the problem you mentioned, NO total silence i nthe opersting   
   room they could never get it to work.   
   That we i nthe 80's so don't know if they every tried agian but form   
   what you say about your perscription renewals over the phone I doubt   
   thyey can evfer make it work
