   highly doubtful since HPFS is an IBM thing and even though NTFS is a   
   bastardized version, hardly anyone knows about it unless they are on   
   mainframes or minis or OS2 of some flavor... even then, many have switched to   
   JFS (Journaled File System) because the chkdsk/recovery time is much shorter   
   and rarely is any data lost due to the journal...   
      
   aside: i have to wonder how JFS compares to other journaling file systems like   
   ReiserFS and EXT4... EXT3, too, but i'm not very certain about that ATM...
