   That is only true of a Dard Drive Clone. An Image, .tip file, can be   
   stored on and disk with enough space for it. As an example the Image   
   of my bor disk is 125.69 Gig  and is stored on a WD USB hard drive with

   That sounds like you are running the Hard Drives in IDE emulation mode.   
   That slows down the speed of the newer SATA drives.   
   You should go into the BIOS and set the Hard drives to AHCI instead of   
   IDE
