   I had no other choice. Cox Cable here does not offer a rental DVR with   
   the cheapest cable package. And since my three old VCR's were dying and   
   i did not want to stop time shifting programs I needed to do something.   
   I had considered using a computer but the 6 channel(the 4 channel card   
   from Ceton has been discontinued)TV Tuner Card costs more than the TiVo   
   unit
