EV> EV> I read something the other day about an option I could select in the       EV> EV> XP BACKUP Program that in an emergency could restore Everything if I       EV> EV> had made the BACKUP with that setting.              EV> BR> Windows 7 will do that (Create Image option) but not XP backup       EV> BR> that I know of. I don't do backups under XP as it runs in a VM       EV> BR> and gets backed up by Win 7, sorry. My understanding is that       EV> BR> the old NTBACKUP is better for XP, and for all I know IS the       EV> BR> default backup used, dunno. If not, you might try it :)              EV>Howdy! Ben,              EV>I just checked Properties for       EV>Start - Accessories - System Tools - Backup       EV>and NTBACKUP is the program I used.              EV>The Title Bar just said BACKUP when I was fooling with it the other day       EV>but after reading Your Reply I checked and NTBACKUP it is. Thanks!              I will have to check that one out. For the Wifes XP machine and the XP       machine I use at Church I have been using the old DOS program XCOPY to       do data file backups both to a Flach drive installed in the back of the       computers and for the church machine another Flash Drive I use as an off       site backup. I have clone Hard Drives for both machines I do with a TI       Boot CD       ---        þ SLMR 2.1a þ 0         * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 bbs.docsnetservices.com (1:123/140)    |
