Ben,              My UPS does beep when the A.C. power has been OFF for at least a few       seconds.              What I'm seeing is very brief interruptions.              The UPS makes a Click as soon as the line power goes OFF.       I don't even see the light in my room blink when it does this, so I'm       thinking that the line power is only OFF for a fraction of a second       and returns.              It runs on Battery Power for a moment and then the sensors in it says       the power is restored so it makes another Click when it goes back to       Normal.              I'm thinking it is a Timer Circuit in the UPS that causes the small       seperation between the Two Clicks.              And because the Timer Circuit hasn't Timed Out after 'it sees' the line       power is restored so the UPS has to wait until that happens to go back       to its normal mode.              Because of this the UPS hasn't had the 'time' to send a ALARM Signal.              That's the best I can guess at what is happening.              ...
