   Howdy! Tom,

The Generating Station is close by and I can see the two smokestacks
   from here.

B4 getting the UPS I would experience a small power interruption every
month at least one or two times.

Which call to mind one day I was using the Commodore 64 which wasn't
connected to the UPS and the wife walked out of my room and by habit
flipped the Light Switch OFF, and then back ON when she noticed my room
   got dark.

That Switched Outlet is the one the C=64 uses and I next saw
"38911 Bytes Free" on my TV screen, so I reloaded the Program I was
using and finished doing what I was doing on the C=64.

Long ago I had learned to Save what I was doing on the C=64 at least
every 15 Minutes due to the irregular power interruptions I have here
so I didn't suffer any real inconvience when that happened.

Later I got a Extension Cord and plugged it in a spare output on the
UPS so that won't happen to me again.
I've had a UPS on my Desktop computers long before I got this XP box,
I just never thought to have the C=64 connected to it.

    EV>I'm still with AT&T DSL.
EV>Just read a note on my latest bill from them and the price is going up
    EV>2 bucks to $30something.

TW> My Cable Internet costs $46.99 but for that I get 5700 kbit/s
TW> where as the best DSL avilable in my area was 750 kbit/s. I
TW> thought the $15 extra was worth it. I am forced to have Cable
TW> TV because since they went digital I can only can get 2 of the
TW> 7 Local over the air channels

I remember You writing about that happening.
I'm close to most of the TV Stations Transmitter Sites.
I still get "Frame?" Pauses on my TV when the Wind Blows real hard.

EV>I don't want cable broadband, I was eating at Mr. Gattie Pizza
EV>yesterday and saw something on the Cartoon Network TV Channel that
EV>troubled me, so I'm not interested in my money paying for all of the
EV>other stuff that they send down that coaxial cable.

TW> That is a big problem with me. Even with the Minimum requited
TW> package I get some stuff I have no interet in at all being
TW> mostly a national network watcher.

There aren't any more TV Stations that I can tune in but because they
each have several 'DOT' Channels there is a larger selection of shows
   to watch.

And one of the 'DOT' channels shows a WX Radar on it, which I've always
enjoyed seeing when I visited someones home that had Cable TV there, so
to me that is a Plus, but for where You live that doesn't matter as
much as the weaker signal reception that Digital TV has compared to
what a Analog TV was/is and You can't receive most of the stations now.

... Misspelled? Impossible. My modem is error correcting.
