|    I Learned Something    |

The other day I was reading the Manual I printed in 2007 for the       Linksys Router Jay Emrie gave to me.              On one page it said to turn the power on the Router before powering       up the DSL Modem and Computer.              I've tried doing that the last couple of days and learned it shortened       the time I had to wait for the Router and DSL Modem to get finished       with THEIR handshaking.              I WAS powering up the Router and DSL Modem first and waiting 6 minutes       for the handshaking to finish.              If I didn't wait for THEM to finish talking to each other and turned on       my computer the Network would give me a NO CONNECTION message.              And since I start up using a XP Limited Users Account, I'd either have       to Switch to a Admin Account to get a Network Connection OK message,       or click Shut Down - Restart to get THEM talking to each other so I       could get on the internet.              Now by powering up the Router and waiting half a minute or so and then       powering up the DSL Modem, I get a Network Connection as soon as I       Log In to my XP Limited Users Account.              Of course, everyone already knew about this because they read the       Manual, but I just though I'd pass along what I just learned.              ED = 1 PC = 0 This Time.
