Sigh! You're both right - Tom is correct that there is no simple       straightforward method to upgrade from XP to Win7 by simply booting to Win7       and having it respect documents, settings, software installations (etc)       currently part of an XP installation.              Roy is correct, that by backing up documents and using a variety of Microsoft       and/or 3rd party tools a user can restore documents, settings, etc from an XP       installation to a new Win 7 installation.              That's a more complex process, though, than simply inserting an optical disc       and clicking INSTALL.              On 2014-06-09, 11:58 AM, Roy Witt -> TOM WALKER wrote:        RW> Greetings TOM!                      TW>> Is that not what I told Ed in my message??               RW> What you told Ed was misleading.
