   UGH!

There are things about using Personal Computers that make me want to
   say UGH!.

I use a Gear Head SD/SDHC Card Reader which I can put a memory card
into and then plug it in a USB 2.0 slot on a computer to see what is
   on the card.

I like the Lock Switch feature on those SD and SDHC memory cards,
I use it to Write Protect what is on the card to prevent my causing
something accidently to happen to the Files on those cards.

But IF I have plugged the card reader in a XP or Vista pc,
AND I had the Lock Switch Down on the SD card,
AND THEN decide I want to Write something on the Memory Card,
I click on the Icon to "Safely Remove Hardware",
pull the card reader out of the USB slot,
remove the SD card and slide the switch Up,
put it back in the card reader and insert it in any USB slot,
I try to copy a file to the SD Card and see a Error window.

The Title of the window says: "Error Copying File or Folder."
"Cannot copy : The disk is write-protected."
"Remove the write-protection or use another disk."

As Charlie Brown would say, "UGH!".

I might try turning the computer off and back on and plug the SD card
in after the desktop shows up, making sure the Slide Switch on it is
   in the UP position.

I just tried the Shut Down and turning the pc back on.
I still got the Write Protect Error message when I tried to copy a file
to the SDHC Memory Card even with the Slide Switch in the UP position.

   UGH!
