   Hi Ed,   
      
   1 gig will run it as I have a laptop here (about 6 years old) that runs Win7   
   with that, well did until I upped it to 2 gig and the improvement in   
   performance was night and day.. From memory MicroSoft specs did call for 1   
   gig minimum.
