   Speaking of; when MS stopped supporting MSEssentials, I was having too   
   many warning windows popping up on the screen, so I turned off the   
   auto-update and the virus checker, but kept the firewall.   
      
   What I noticed after doing that was an increase in processor function. The   
   computer no longer slowed down to a bare crawl with 100% processor in use   
   when I had Mozilla open and it performed faster than usual. Meanwhile the   
   processor usage was below 50%...the more tabs you have open, the slower it   
   goes.
