|    RAM Upgrade    |

The Vista Basic notebook came with 1 Gb RAM and I added a 1 GB stick       to it.       At times it acts S L O W.              In thinking back now I am wondering if I replaced the 1 GB SODIMM RAM       with a 2 GB SODIMM stick if I should see any improvement in speed?              The 160GB HDD in it has 3 partitions, 68GB C: with 6GB unused,       68GB D: with 23GB unused, and a Manufacturers Hidden Partition.              The Paging File is controlled by the System and it's on the D: drive.              I've tried looking to see if I could set the Hibernation File to the       D: drive but haven't learned how to do that yet.              I've also thought to put a bigger HDD in it by doing a Full Backup of       the HDD in it, and then restoreing the Backup to a larger HDD.              The computer has a Intel Celeron 550 @ 2.00GC/S CPU.              So should I change the SODIMM RAM and/or get a bigger HDD for it.              Your Comments Please. Thanks!              ... Two paradoxes are better than one; they may even suggest a solution.       --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.49       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
