(OBDC I?)       Code Reader.       It took a bit of time for me to find a garage that still could       read the codes on older autos, but I found 3 places in the past few       years that still had the older reader that I could go to when I needed       work done.              I was told recently that the new autos have a connector that the Police       can connect up to, to see what speed the vehicle was running at, and       some other data.       I believe Tom mentioned this connector a year or two ago.?              The other week when we didn't want to drive the van because of the       noise, I was in a friends car and the Key wasn't even in the Ignition       Switch, I never heard of that before, but the latest model auto I've       owned was a 2002 model, and it was fancy enuf for us with the Compass       and Trip Calculator display on it.              My brother was here a few weeks ago and I used his Garmin GPS to see       what exactly it would show as my Latitude and Longitude.       I had written it down after looking at a Geological Map I had access to       at work, but just wanted to see what the GPS 'Birds' said where I was.              ... Hacker hint #276: Alt-H gives you SysOp access.       --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.49       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
