Got 133 this afternoon!              No apology needed, I'm glad to see messages from you when you can get       ROUNDTUIT. You know how slow I often am in sending a Reply message.              On March 7th, as I was leaving a grocery store, I turned on the van       and heard an awful racket coming under the hood, I managed to drive       it home.       Sunday afternoon a neighbor who works for an Auto Store listened to       the noise and said the Alternator Bearings were bad.       My wife wanted a second opinion to make sure what the noise was because       it sounded like the noise was coming from the Engine to her.              I got some estimates to replace a Alternator and waited for the other       person to come and listen to the noise, but on the 14th we took the van       to a shop and sure enough it was what our neighbor said it was, the       Alternator. We also got the Fan Belt replaced.               EV>I saw a TV Commercial advertising a Auto Race that showed a Car in        EV>the middle of the pack, flipping up and turning over above the other        EV>cars.               EV>I know Accidents during a Race makes the news, but I wouldn't want        EV>to be in the grandstands watching the Race and see that happen.               HG> All of us doing and being interested in motorsport know the        HG> dangers but what many in the public don't know is that the cars        HG> are reinforced and not any standard cars. In a crash the car        HG> isn't crushed and the driver is carrying burnproof safety        HG> clothing, neck and shoulder protection and a helmet that is        HG> approved by the racing authorities.              Some time ago, a Garage owner showed me the cage inside his race car.       So I know that everything that can be done to keep the driver safe is       done.               EV>Auto Races are very popular, and the stands are always full of        EV>people who enjoy being there.        EV>I'm glad You, Roy and lots of others enjoy the Sport, and so are the        EV>Promoters!               HG> With your feelings I wonder how you dare drive in the traffic        HG> with an unsafe car. You know that accidents happen there too.              I've learned most other drivers are Color Blind to the color RED.       They can't see STOP Signs at insections, and some of them are surprised       when my Brake Lights come on, when I stop at a STOP Sign.              I remember one day seeing the driver behind me, looked Bug Eyed when I       saw him in my rear view mirror, as he pulled up towards me when I had       already stopped at a intersection.              Yes, Race Cars do have more protection for the passenger than private       automobiles do, but on a Track a bump once in a while can be expected       and it's usually without harm to the driver.              I just figure the other drivers I see on the streets just have to get       where they want to go, as soon as they can, so I let them.       I just want to get to where I'm going in one piece.              ...
