   Re: [WINServer] Santronics Emails

   Father Paul:

I told you quite a while back that your email address was in SSI's BAD
email and or domain filter lists but I guess you didn't get that message
   either. http://www.winserver.com/RemoveSmtpBadFilters.wct

I put in a removal request for you today for frpaul@reu.org if you have
any more email addresses or domains that are blocked you can check them
and enter them yourself at the url above.
   ***NOTE***
A request was sent to support to process your bad filter removal
request. Please allow 1 to 3 days. Please do not send another request
but you can check again to see if your domain or email was removed.

Also if you use yahoo.com or outlook.com for email with DMARC it causes
problems with the listserve, here is a message from Hector about it.

If you are using an subscription address with a domain that is
restricted with a DMARC record using a p=reject or p=quarantine, this is
causing a heck of a big mess with the mailing list the causing the
   blacklisting of all innocent subscribers.

These are the main domains in question with DMARC p=reject or
   p=quarantine policies:
        outlook.com
        yahoo.com
But it applies to any domain that has a p=reject/quarantine.

If you try to post mail here with these restricted DMARC domain, when
wcListServer accepts the message and creates and begins the
distribution, the receivers at domains like YAHOO.COM and OUTLOOK.COM
will reject the message because of DMARC and that will cause wcSMTP and
wcListServer to begin the blocking process an inactivation in the list.

So before I send this, I am going to do

     1) delete the badrcpt.txt,
     2) activate all the subscribers in the list,
     3) Write/Update my smtpfilter-listchecker.wcc script that will
check for DMARC and reject submission to th list for domains
with p=reject or p=quarantine DMARC policies.

Overall, you can't use OUTLOOK.COM or YAHOO.COM as a subscriber because
their DMARC policy says only they can send mail using these domains. No
one else can. So if the
   from field says:

      From: user@yahoo,com

That From is not allowed as a mailing list message to the outside world.
It can only be send from yahoo.com machines not other machines.

This is why some mailing list servers are now "Rewriting" the from
   address to something like this:

      From: list-agent@list-server.com
      X-Original-From: user@yahoo.com

This prevents the problem from happening. Rewriting is a foreign idea
in mail engineering idea. Its a kludge, but it is unfortunately another
solution to use if you don't want to stop the message from being
   accepted, posted and distributed.

So this has to be done because its a bad issue now.

Hope this gives you an idea of why you haven't received anything.

-> I have not received any email from santronics, or winserver, or the wildcat
-> mailing lists. for at least two and perhaps three years. I have logged on to
-> the santronics / wildcat bbs several times and attempted to send email to
-> myself with no result. I have attempted to send email from my system to
   Andrea
-> and to Hector with no response. A week or so ago I again signed up for the
-> announcements and winserver mailing lists but received no response. I
   attempted
-> to send email from their bbs to my alternate hotmail.com address but it did
   not
-> get sent or I did not receive it. I left a message in conference 0 for
   Andrea
-> askng her to resolve this problem, but never received a response. I have
-> renewed my AUP every year since the early 1990's, when I purchased WC.

-> So, to answer your question . . . NO LUCK
