   OTOH as one of the few Gallifreyans with direct, first-hand experience   
   of fighting Daleks, she would've been conscripted right away at the   
   start of the war.  Leading the vanguard, she probably tripped and   
   sprained her ankle, allowing the Daleks to win the battle...
