      A particularly unsettled regime in the central Mediterranean and   
      extending into the Alps and some eastern parts; snow could be quite   
      heavy over and northeast of the Alps.   
      
      Tuesday   
      A dry and bright day for Portugal. Spain will see cloudy skies and   
      showers in far north, but brighter in the south. Windy with patchy rain   
      for the Balearics, Sardinia and Corsica but plenty of showers   
      following. Cloudy with some heavy rain for central and southern Italy,   
      this rain extending into the Balkan States, particularly Croatia and   
      Bosnia and Herzegovina. Patchier rain to the south towards Greece with   
      strong winds here too. A mostly fine day for Türkiye and Cyprus though   
      odd showers here and there.   
      A showery day for France, more frequent in southeast with local snow;   
      showers too for the Low Countries with a notable North Sea breeze.   
      Germany and Poland will see some wintry showers in south and east   
      areas; largely dry north but cloudy. Some heavy snow for Switzerland,   
      Austria, Czechia. Heavy rain for Hungary and Slovakia. Dry with sun   
      spells for Romania and Bulgaria. Rain and snow for Belarus, but a   
      mostly dry day for Ukraine.   
      A cold day across Scandinavia. Denmark and southern Sweden will see   
      patchy rain and snow. Much of central Sweden and Norway will be dry   
      with sunny spells, though the northern Norwegian coast will see   
      frequent snow showers. Dry in Finland and often sunny in the south. Dry   
      too in the Baltics with sun here and there; some snow may form in   
      southeast Lithuania.   
      
      Wednesday   
      Fine in Iberia with only scattered showers in northern Spain. Strong   
      winds over the central Mediterranean islands with a risk of gales in   
      the east Balearics and regular showers here. Often raining in Italy and   
      the Balkan coast with persistent, heavy rain into western Greece.   
      Patchy rain and sunshine over the Aegean Sea and into Türkiye.   
      Most of France will be dry but cloudy, some patchy snow in the   
      mountainous southeast. This snow extends across Switzerland and Austria   
      though tending to east. Substantially dry in the Low Countries and   
      Germany with some sunny spells. Cold in Czechia and Slovakia with heavy   
      snow, this band of snow extending into much of Poland. Some rain in   
      west Bulgaria but dry to the east and in Romania and Ukraine.   
      Dry with sunshine for much of southern Scandinavia. Sweden and Finland   
      likely dry all day though cloudy to the north. Spells of rain and snow   
      will affect west Norway but southern inland areas will be mostly dry.   
      Colder in the Baltic States with snow in east Lithuania. Generally   
      drier Latvia and Estonia with some sun in the north.
