      Drier through central Europe to start the weekend, rain moves into   
      France   
      
      Friday   
      Showers affect north Spain, dry with sun elsewhere in Iberia. Heavy   
      showers come and go around the central Mediterranean, including into   
      central and southern Italy. Strong winds are likely as well,   
      particularly southern France with a powerful Mistral wind here. Heavy   
      rain on the coastal Balkans, this rain extending inland in northern   
      areas, falling as snow on high ground. Heavy rain for west Greece, dry   
      and sunny to the east and in Türkiye.   
      A frosty morning from France eastward across the Alps and areas north   
      into Poland. Some morning patchy snow in north and west France eases   
      for an increasingly bright day from the north. Most of the continent   
      north of the Alps will be dry and cloudy, though sun increasingly   
      pushes in from the north. The Alps themselves will be snowy, this band   
      of snow extending east through Austria, Slovakia, and southern Poland.   
      Rain for Hungary with scattered showers southeast towards the Black   
      Sea.   
      Very cold in Scandinavia, likely below freezing all day; bitter cold in   
      the north. More snow showers into western Norway, becoming persistent   
      on the southwestern coast later. Showers into Denmark. Sweden will be   
      dry with sunny spells. Southern Finland and the Baltic States will see   
      some patchy snow, this tending to fade for a drier evening with sunny   
      spells.   
      
      Saturday   
      High pressure extends through Spain, Portugal and into central France,   
      Germany and the Alps bringing plenty of dry weather. Sunshine best in   
      the south of Spain. Strong winds through the western Mediterranean with   
      heavy bursts of rain around Corsica, Sardinia. Showers for the   
      Balearics tend to fade. Heavy areas of rain for central and southern   
      Italy, plus western Greece and the Balkans, again with snow in the   
      mountains inland. Northern Italy is drier with variable cloud. A few   
      showers for west coasts of Türkiye, but dry and sunny further east.   
      Also sunny for Cyprus. Fine weather around the Black Sea.   
      Strengthening southwesterly winds for northern France brings rain in   
      from the northwest, turning heavier here. Dry with some early mist in   
      Germany, Czechia and western Poland. Breezy and cloudy for the   
      Netherlands into Denmark, a little patchy rain. Some rain and snow in   
      southern Poland. Breezy in southern Scandinavia, but milder with some   
      patchy rain. Wetter in southwest Norway. Areas of snow flurries further   
      north.
