      Europe forecast - November 17, 2025
      Breezy for most
      Settling west

      Issued: 0530hrs Monday 17th November 2025
      Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

A subtle ridge of high pressure slowly establishes in western Europe
which may extend some more settled conditions across the Alps.
Remaining unsettled to the north and south.

      Monday
Scattered showers across Iberia, tending to isolate to the south and
north of Spain - sunny spells in central areas. Scattered showers too
over the central Mediterranean islands. Italy mostly fine but some
showers will drift onto the west coast; snow in the northern mountains.
Heavy coastal rain in the Balkan States, most extensive north Albania
towards Slovenia. Inland largely sunny. Sunny spells and dry for Greece
and Türkiye. A strong breeze in southeast Europe but remaining mild.
A notably cooler day north of the Alps, though milder in southern
France. Scattered showers in central and southern France with snow in
the east mountains; this snow stretches widely across Switzerland into
Austria. A cold and strong northerly wind pushes bright spells and
wintry showers into Germany and the Low Countries, some into northern
Poland as well. Heavy rain across southern Poland, Slovakia, and some
parts of Czechia and Hungary. Drier further east with sunshine near the
Black Sea and a strong but mild breeze into Romania and Ukraine.
Cold across Scandinavia, particularly northern Sweden and Finland.
Frequent snow showers onto the Norwegian west coast. Bright in the
south, Sweden, and Denmark; little or no precipitation here. Some snow
in the western Baltic States and the south of Finland, though many
areas dry with some brighter spells.

      Tuesday
A sunny day across Iberia. A few light showers and blustery winds
around the central Mediterranean Islands, plenty of sunny spells. Sunny
too in northern Italy, rain further south with the heavies bursts in
the far south. Heavy rain from southern Bosnia and Herzegovina
southward into western Greece, this rain extending inland as well. Dry
but quite blustery through the Aegean Sea, dry too in Türkiye with
      plentiful sunshine.
A notable westerly wind from the north of France all the day eastward
into Belarus - mostly cloudy here with spells of rain across the Low
Countries, northern Germany, and northern Poland. Brighter spells
further south, sun may be extensive from central France east along the
Alps into Hungary and Slovakia. Lighter wind here too. Rain increasing
      in Romania and Bulgaria
Cold across Scandinavia though slightly milder south Sweden and
Denmark. Cloudy for most with snow showers continuing onto Norway's
west coast, rain showers into west Denmark. Only local snowy spots in
southern parts of Sweden and Finland with a few brighter spells.
Westerly winds in the Baltic States will bring periods of snow, perhaps
      increasingly bright in Finland.
