   POPE RECEIVES THE PRIME MINISTER OF CAPE VERDE   
      
   VATICAN CITY, 9 SEP 2010 (VIS) - The Holy See Press Office released the   
   following communique yesterday afternoon:   
      
     "This morning, at the end of his general audience, the Holy Father   
   Benedict XVI greeted Jose Maria Pereira Neves, prime minister of Cape Verde,   
   who had previously been received by Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio   
   Bertone S.D.B. in the company of Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, secretary   
   for Relations with States.   
      
     "During the cordial discussions pleasure was expressed at the good state   
   of bilateral relations, as well as at the contribution the Church makes to   
   the entire archipelago nation. Likewise, the hope was expressed that there   
   would be increasingly close collaboration in the fields of healthcare and   
   education.   
      
     "It was furthermore decided to establish a bilateral working commission to   
   begin work on a framework agreement between the Holy See and Cape Verde".
