   - Accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the territorial abbey of   
   Santissima Trinita di Cava de' Tirreni, Italy, presented by Dom Benedetto Maria   
   Chianetta O.S.B., in accordance with canon 401 para. 2 of the Code of Canon   
   Law.   
      
   - Appointed Bishop John G. Noonan, auxiliary of the archdiocese of Miami,   
   U.S.A., as bishop of Orlando (area 28,814, population 4,002,000, Catholics
