   VATICAN CITY, 21 OCT 2010 (VIS) - The Holy Father:   
      
   - Appointed Bishop Jose Alejandro Castano Arbelaez O.A.R., auxiliary of the   
   archdiocese of Cali, Colombia, as bishop of Cartago (area 4,000, population   
   481,000, Catholics 471,000, priests 88, religious 197), Colombia.   
      
   - Appointed Dom Diego Gualtiero Rosa O.S.B., abbot of the monastery of S. Maria   
   del Pilastrello in Lendinara, Italy, as abbot of the territorial abbey of Monte   
   Oliveto Maggiore (area 49, population 495, Catholics 495, priests 15, religious   
   30), Italy. He succeeds Dom Michelangelo Riccardo Tiribilli, O.S.B., whose   
   resignation from the pastoral care of the same territorial abbey the Holy   
   Father accepted, in accordance with the statues of the Benedictine Olivetan   
   Congregation.
