   VATICAN CITY, 4 SEP 2010 (VIS) - The Holy Father appointed Msgr. Giorgio   
   Lingua, nunciature counsellor, as apostolic nuncio to Jordan and to Iraq, at   
   the same time elevating him to the dignity of archbishop. The archbishop-elect   
   was born in Fossano, Italy in 1960 and ordained a priest in 1984.
