Hey Ben!               BR> I do have a DOS version of bash!              16 or 32 bit? How about perl? I did hear a rumour of a DOS based       perl once upon a time. I've been playing around with mixed bash/perl       scripting recently for FTN compliant functionality specifically       to encorporate perl's pack function to pack local text messages to       FTN compliant outbound pkt's. This reply will soon be one of those       but is pure text as I type it. Also tried acsii2binary which more       or less does the same thing as perl's pack and rates higher on the       minimalization scale than perl. A tad slower though.              After I replied I found a link - http://win-bash.wiki.sourceforge.net/       - that sounds interesting. They claim there was a nt_bash at one       time but apparently it got abandoned.               BR> I created the echo to have a place like Batpower              Ah! Where have you been hiding?              Life is good,       Maurice              --- GNU bash, version 4.2.10(2)-release (x86_64-atom-linux-gnu)        * Origin: Pointy Stick Society (1:261/38.9)    |
