Hey Jame!              30 Jul 11 12:06, Jame Clay wrote to Maurice Kinal:               JC> Will you be makeing those functions publically available?              Sure thing. I'll put it on the ftp site as soon as I do a bit more tweaking.        As is the FTN functions rely on ascii2binary and I wish to replicate that with       perl's pack if that is preferable. Also most of the variables for pkt and msg       headers are hardcoded with my particular FTN addresses etc. and that needs to       be resolved first.              I like your idea with the perl modules however I'd personally prefer if it       were a perl script rather than modules and I believe adding perl's pack to the       bash FTN functions where needed is a nifty way to exploit perl without the       need for modularization.              I am guesstimating having the above available within a week and will post the       url in this echo once the first alpha version is ready for testing. I'll make       both the ascii2binary and perl FTN functions available seperately in case one       is more desirable than the other. I'd hope that you'll grab both and let me       know which you think is better. Myself I am thinking the ascii2binary would       be extremely useful on more embedded type enviroments where perl would be too       much bloat to the system. Also I like comparing and contrasting especially       where lean and mean is the objective no matter what.              Life is good,       Maurice              --- Msged/LNX 6.1.2        * Origin: The Pointy Stick Society (1:261/38.9)    |
