   Nice site, thanks for link, but init.d just ignores my commands :(   
      
   I need to execute two commands in tandem.   
   1st: gksu x-terminal-emulator   
   then mc   
      
   The Gnome desktop is strange. Won't let me set an icon's properties to start   
   maximized which I also would like to do. {sigh}   
      
   I tried a dozen distros before I found one that would install in a VM so I'm   
   fairly stuck with Debian. Otherwise it's a nice linux distro. 90% of my work   
   is done from the command line or using mc {g}
