Hey All!              Everything is starting to look good even on the mothership's web       display. :-)              However I forgot to mention that the current zd1211rw based AP script       relies on a git'ed kernel, 2.6.39-rc3+ as we speak. That is because AP       mode wasn't possible in earlier versions although one might be able to       remedy this situation by using the latest compat-wireless drivers. See;               http://www.linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download              for details of how this could be accomplished. Personally I can wait       until it all becomes mainline. Still have a few issues with wireless       mesh and the ath9k card. AP and managed modes work good on that card as       long as power management is turned off and a prescan is done before       bringing the interface up. Mesh mode works okay as long as it acts more       as a client on a mesh network and doesn't serve or doesn't allow       downloading to another mesh point. We'll see what the future holds as       there have been patches for ath9k as recently as 2.6.39-rc4-git2. Again       I can wait as things as they currently are is better than it ever was       wirelessly speaking and I still am working on the current HOWTO for all       this latest experimentation. Definetly getting there.              Life is good,       Maurice              --- Msged/LNX 6.2.0        * Origin: The Pointy Stick Society (1:261/38.9)    |
