   Same here.  I can confirm that using a efivar from a glibc-2.42 build will   
   work for efibootmgr with glibc-2.43.   
      
   > Grub does build and install but fails to boot.   
      
   I managed to get grub-2.14 to build and boot (uefi) on both the glibc   
   versions.  However I am sticking with the latest glibc-2.42 build as the   
   default rootfs ... for now.   
      
   I still haven't learned to leave well enough alone.
