   I have upgraded to glibc-2.43 on my desktop just for a look.   
      
   There are seds for quite a few (around 5) packages for the new glibc.   
      
   efivars fails to build with glibc an d also efibootmgr fails to build I think   
   because efivars is missing.   
      
   Grub does build and install but fails to boot. I had to use a previous grub   
   built with glibc-2.42 to install grub and boot.
