   Without the need to compile it here, it took only about 3 minutes to install   
   and reboot the machine. ;)

   I must say, though, that 17 minutes for a kernel is getting a lot better now   
   than the days of old, where it would take hours or even days. I remember glibc   
   specifically, starting the compile before bed, wake up, go to work, come home   
   and it was still compiling, only to fail at the end. It was absolutely   
   irritating, and probably around the time I switched from Gentoo to Archlinux   
   many years ago. ;)   
      
   I don't work for my PC, it works for me!
